In The Seed of Compassion we learn from the Dalai Lama about the beautiful word of compassion.The Dalai Lama tells of early home life and being surrounded by mastiffs, sheep, horses, yaks and scorpions. We learn that the Dalai Lama was raised on a diet of love from his mother where he first learned of the concept of compassion, and a very important lesson of treating all people with "warm-heartedness." As the Dalai Lama grew up, (he is recognized at a young age as the Dalai Lama) and leaves his home with his family to train to become a monk. When he became a monk in training the Dalai Lama learned Buddhist philosophy and history as well as poetry and medicine. Throughout the years compassion became a topic close to his heart with the Dalai Lama dedicating his life to making the world more compassionate and bringing happiness.
