Pinduli a young hyena sets off on her own one day to find a new place with mysterious smells. But what she finds instead are animals who do not like the looks of her and make fun of her appearance-her ears are not right, her mane is too straggly, and her beautiful stripes are considered a disarray. Pinduli decides to change her appearance by rolling in dust, causing the animals who originally made fun of her appearance to think she was a great spirit (a ghost).
The animals who confess that they made fun of the hyena, learn in the end the value of respect for each other, and what they say can have a lasting impact on all.
