AGES 4-8

Simone is a young biracial girl who searches for her color. She asks her friends, but she realizes that it is up to her and her alone to find it. Simone finds color all around her, but nothing identifies with her and her identity. She does find her color in looking at her family’s past - from her Mother she realizes that her skin is a reminiscent of honey from the beehives at her Grandmother’s house. From her Dad his skin reminds her of smoke that comes from her Grandpa’s train. She has found her color HoneySmoke and it is beautiful wherever she goes.
