Music is not only alive and well, but it sends a wonderful message in Mo Willems masterpiece Because. Music comes alive and Willems shows how it connects us all: “Because a man had practiced since he was a kid-he was asked to join” (the orchestra). Music we also learn changes a young girl’s life-she realizes that she has something to contribute because she worked so hard for her dreams people wanted to hear her, she in turn inspired the next generation to follow their own dreams.
